| I have had dreams off and on that seem to have the same theme... I'm with people and we suddenly come to the realization that “it is time” and “the bad guys are nearing us.” So I tell everyone I’m with to lay flat as possible. In some instances it has been to hide. In others, we had nowhere to hide b/c we were outside so we just had to “play dead.” These “bad guys” coming appear to be foreign people invading our country and scouring the countryside either killing or taking hostage all civilians.
1st Dream: I was with several people and we were all running from these “bad guys.” Somehow I got separated and was being chased by 2 guys in some open countryside fields. After a long chase, running through a farmhouse, hiding above a doorway, swimming underwater in a pond in attempt to lose them, it finally comes to me hiding in a log. They were walking over me and I was trying to lay as still as possible so they didn’t know I was in the log. Then I realized, it’s my dream and I can control whether they see me or not. I decided I don’t want them to find me and I woke up.
2nd: I was at my childhood home and we could see the bad guys coming at the back of my pasture behind my house – about a mile away. I gathered people in the loft of my barn and told everyone to lay still and not breathe. We had to stay laying down b/c for some reason they would be able to see through the windows and see us if someone’s head popped up. Someone must’ve made a noise b/c a couple of guys entered the room. Someone was standing over me and I was trying to remain as still as I possibly could. I realized he was studying me – trying to figure out if I was really dead. Then I woke up.
3rd (last night): I was with several people from grade school (now I’m 26 yrs). We were all chatting and waiting for something, then realized the time had come. Planes were flying overhead and it appeared to be an air raid. I didn’t know in my dream what kind of weapons were falling, but for some reason we all decided that if we cover up with blankets and huddle together we would be safer. We needed to get all of our skin and faces under these blankets and not breathe the outside air and we would have a better chance of surviving. (Awake, I know this doesn’t make much sense - a blanket wouldn’t keep out fire or a nuclear bomb). There were other people in our group I didn’t know, 2 younger girls, and I noticed it appeared they had given up or were just confused. I convinced them to get under a blanket another girl and I were sharing. Then, the planes stopped and we could see bad guys approaching by foot. I told everyone to lay as still as possible – it was time to “play dead.” For some reason I was laying flat on my belly at this point. My arms were sticking straight out and I was in an odd position – hoping I might look more dead, like it was the position I fell in. Unfortunately, my foot was balanced on my toe and I didn’t have more time to get it in a more comfortable position before they arrived. So I was trying to keep it still, but couldn’t seem to hold it up. My heel was kind of blowing in the breeze. I thought, well that might look more “real” (like I’m dead) b/c it isn’t comfortable. Still, I was the only thing moving so they came straight up to me. They stood over me for a minute, then grabbed me by the heel and started to drag me – face down – back towards their vehicle. I was still playing dead. Then I woke up. |

| I had a dream I was fighting a war, I pushed away a child I should have shot (he was armed). I saw gory, limbless, disemboweled bodies that were grey and flopping around like fish. |
