The symbolism of a blanket is the same in both the waking world and dream one, that of security, protection and warmth. How you react to the blanket is where a deeper meaning can be interpreted. If you where wrapping yourself around it from an environment you where nor familiar with, consider this as a warning that things will be getting tough in your life and your subconscious is already preparing itself for it. If you where covering something, then there is something you are trying to hide from others, if you where wrapping somebody else or giving the blanket as a gift, then it denotes your desire to help somebody out.
